NNCS Alumni – Norwood Norfolk Central School
Bringing together old friends and making new friends.
Bringing together old friends and making new friends.
About 8 years ago I started this site to learn a few things about web development and to help give back to the school that started me on this path. Today I am finally resurrecting this site using cutting edge blog software and forum software.
The site is powered by Wordpress a linux based blogging software. The forums are powered by bbPress which is a light-weight forum software developed by the makers of Wordpress.
I hope that you enjoy the site and find a few old friends or make some new ones.

HI, Mark…
It’s good to see you have a new site up. I’d written many years ago about the site you then had. I explained that although I hadn’t graduated NNCS, I attended kindergarten there in 53-54.
Will you be putting some of the elements of the older site on here like the old ‘49 yearbook and also the site that had the various years graduates with e-mail addresses. I was googling and was unable to find that site.
Thanks again for your efforts.
Best regards,
Charlotte Layaw Kerns

Hi Charlotte,
I do plan on trying to bring back some of the old content back and hopefully the yearbooks should be part of that.

Hi Mark,
I’m glad to see the site is back up and running. Will you be resurrecting the Alumni pages from the previous NNCS page? I always found it interesting to see where old classmates are and what they are doing. I also connected with a couple long lost friends through those listings. I, for one, would love to see it come back.
Keep up the great work!
Scott

Hi Scott,
I’ll be working on bringing back as much information as I can from the old site. Most of it will be added back via peoples profiles which I will be enhancing soon.
With 2, 8, and 13 year olds it takes a bit longer to find more time to maintain and develop the site which is why I’m using Wordpress and bbPress open source systems.

Hi Mark,
Had a few minutes so was looking around the web. Came across your new website. Glad to see you have gotten something back up and running.
I know what you mean with kids, job, busy life – how hard it is to keep up on things like this.
Just wanted to thank you for the site and say I understand if it takes a while to get it to where you want it to be.
